Volano UP WBF is a wall-hung thermal buffer and hydraulic separator for air-to-water heat pumps and hydronic systems. Built in mild steel with an internal Polywarm® coating and rigid polyurethane insulation, it’s designed to stabilize hot and chilled water systems while protecting the tank and keeping system water clean.

Provides both functions in one compact unit: added thermal mass to reduce heat-pump cycling, and hydraulic separation to decouple heat-pump flow from distribution flow for smoother operation. -
Polywarm® internal finish
Carbon-steel vessel with a Polywarm® internal coating for improved corrosion protection and “clean system” operation in modern hydronic circuits. -
High-performance insulation
Rigid polyurethane foam insulation minimizes standby losses for both hot and chilled water operation. -
Indoor PVC outer jacket
Soft PVC grey outer lining for indoor installations, with a clean, finished look in mechanical rooms and utility spaces. -
Wall-hung, space-saving design
Vertical, wall-mounted tank keeps floors clear and fits into tight mechanical rooms, closets, or utility spaces. UP series tanks are specifically designed for wall installation. -
Hot and chilled water compatible
Suitable for “hot/cold” inertial storage on heat-pump systems that operate in heating mode in winter and cooling mode in summer. -
Hydronic closed-loop use
Intended for closed hydronic systems with technical water or glycol mixtures; not for potable domestic hot water.
