Upgrading Your Radiator is Easier Than You Think
Swapping out your old radiator for something modern, efficient, and stylish doesn’t have to be complicated. Whether you’re renovating a space or simply tired of clunky, outdated heating, Cordivari radiators are designed to make the upgrade seamless.
What You Need to Know:
-
Cordivari radiators work with standard U.S. hydronic heating systems, including baseboard and cast iron.
-
Cordivari radiators do not work with steam systems.
-
No major plumbing overhaul is required. In many cases, it’s a simple connection to your existing supply and return lines.
-
If you're working with a plumber, they can help determine the BTU (British Thermal Unit) requirements for your space. This ensures the radiator delivers enough heat — or helps you decide if you might need more than one for aesthetic or functional reasons.
-
If you're going the DIY route, our engineering team can help calculate your BTU needs. We’ll ask a few questions — like your location, room size, and insulation — to get it right.
-
You choose the style, size, and finish. We’ll help with the rest.

Measure Your Existing Pipe Connections
(Skip this step if you're remodeling and able to change where your pipes exit the wall or floor.)
Your current radiator has two water lines: one for hot water from the boiler, and one for return. Measure the distance between them (we’ll show you how). -

Select Your Valves
We offer a range of valves — some are purely aesthetic, while others are essential to making the right connection. We're happy to guide you so installation is smooth and the result looks great. -

Install with Ease
Any licensed plumber can install it. It’s usually no more complex than replacing a faucet or a toilet. We’ll make sure you have everything needed for mounting and connection.
Quick Answers:
-
Can I replace my baseboard heater?
Yes. Most baseboard heaters have supply and return lines on opposite ends. Those lines will need to be repositioned to install your new radiator cleanly. -
Do I need a contractor?
We recommend using a licensed plumber for installation. It’s straightforward, and any experienced plumber will be comfortable with it. -
Can I choose my valve location?
Yes — we offer both side and bottom connection options. -
What if my pipes come through the floor?
A plumber can redirect those pipes to match your new radiator. We recommend keeping the lines tidy and minimal. All Cordivari radiators are wall-mounted, so no floor legs are required. -
What about heat output?
All models are rated for U.S. BTU standards. Your plumber can help determine your heating needs — or we’re happy to assist.
